The fresh wild Fiddlehead season is upon us & as always is short lived. The season only lasts for around 8-12 weeks, during which time you will find these tasty treats on the Menu's of North America's best restaurants. I always like to cook my fiddleheads with some good quality white wine vinegar to add a depth of flavor to the unique vegetable. You can also pickle them & use throughout the year. From fish and steak to chicken and game or in a ragout served with fresh pasta, they are a versatile & delicious spring time item.

Wild Fiddleheads typically last for 7-10 days in the refrigerator.

We strongly recommend blanching Fiddleheads & then sauteing. 

It is not uncommon to find the occasional bug on a Wild Foraged Vegetable, simply wipe it off and know that it is still perfectly safe and delicious to eat
